Was in the shop early this morning and worked most of the day to get this area finished up. Still have about three sections of the shop to get set., Hoping more bunnies get here this week as I have sold a bunch!! Love how this group of chairs looks gathered round this table!

Prim Desk Sold!

I am busy cleaning up the shop. Lots of store rooms to clean out also. Is that time of year!! Is nice to have the Christmas off the floor. Just getting things tidied up!! This little attic finish desk is so cute. It was a barn find and would make a nice end table. The rabbits just love being nestled in the flowers!! Winter hours during the week are now 11-4 sat 10-4 and Sun we are opening at 1-4. Lots of people out today. Supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow but hoping it is just a dusting and not like last week!!

Last minute gift ideas for the lady in the house! Just arrived yesterday! New cross over bags,scarves,and jewelry!!

Large four door red cupboard came in yesterday!! Nice large size for storage!! It is wonderful!! Huge old crown and great color. I was playing with it yesterday to get it ready for the holidays!! Heading to Ankeny today to help grandaughter move. Will do a little antiquing while we are there!! Have a great weekend!!

Christmas is winding down at the shop! Not much left! Got this new store counter yesterday and decked it out for the holidays! Then the garland sold! The counter would be a great island piece. Has tons of storage in the back for baskets or buckets! The little salt glaze jars just arrived also!  They are a nice little group! Filled them with tasting spoons!!

Busy all day yesterday! Lots of things found new homes. Moved this meal bin over here at the end of the day and took a quick photo. Loved how it looked with the barrel. Well put the photo on facebook and the meal bin is sold. Today I have to figure out something else to go there. THe shop is really ripped apart now with several pieces sold. Come dig in the piles. Christmas is thinning out and I am thinking spring already. May start putting some out with all the Chrismas leaving. Heading out this morning to pick up a cupboard!! Gotta run!!

Mortars just made the Country Samplers list for top ten collectibles! I just got a group of them in and have already sold three or four in the last couple weeks! Moved them all up by my counter to make a group out of them. Lots to fix up today Had a busy week!! Enjoy the day!!

More Done

Oh My! I had left such a mess yesterday I woke up at five this morning and ran in and worked until 9. Got at least some of the piles cleaned up! Still moving lots of stuff around. Got this old log box hauled to the front and filled it with rugs! Will be changing everything around this week. Trying to keep what is left of the Christmas looking nice. Next week is the tree walk in town and have to get things ready for that. Already have a plan and it should go together quickly! Hope your having a good weekend. Spent the day watching movies around home. Just have not had a crash day for a while. Felt good. Have to finish some christmas shopping tomorrow!!

New Group!

Well I started moving things around. Love how the new pieces look in this group! The butcher block is sold but I get to look at it for a while so I moved it up front. Going to be reworking the shop and making what is left of Christmas look better Gotta get going now!Enjoy your day!!

 

Got this great oyster colored buther block last week!! Love it! I am going to work on putting it in a group with the new cupboard!! Moved all the green pieces to the back this morning and I am putting this group up by the counter. What is so nice about this is you can actually sit at it. It is nice table height and it is not horribly heavy like some I have had. Love the shape and the old paint. Getting some great ideas going with this new stuff. Have to start playing with the furniture again.!! Lots of great Christmas left but it is going out the door with everyone decorating now!

New Cupboard

Well I thought I better write something today since I got asked by three people that had  checked out my blog and noticed I had not written for quite a while. Just as I was ready to write google told me I had to pay for an upgrade to post more pictures. Just got that done tonight! Had a busy thanksgiving week and feeling ready to change the whole shop around. Just not sure where to start. Brought this great screen front cupboard in today! I thought it was putty colored but today it looked a little green to me. Not quite sure but love the old latch and cut out bottom.  It is a nice size! Not too large but just right for many areas!! Still trying to figure out what I can do to fix a grouping around it!! I am feeling the need to shake up the shop but I know what a mess I make when I start this and dragging my feet on making such a mess. Lots of great gift ideas still in the shop  so stop in for decorating and gift ideas!

New pickings from up north!! Getting ready for the big Holdiay doings on Main this weekend.

The early potatoe peeling chair looks great in the corner. It came from West Virginia!! I have the next two days off and heading north to do some picking on Sunday!! Shop will be open!!

Brought up this little table to add to the foot of the bed!! Just got in this book press that attatches to the table. Early old wood screws to tighten it. The old sifter is holding some pears! This room turned out great but now I have mounds outside!

New look

Started doing some cleaning today! Got the little room upstairs all redone and cleaned. Loved how it turned out!! Took out the minnow buckets and made it more like a log cabin!! Love how it turned out but I sure made a mess everywhere else!!

Mama and baby are back! Just arrived !! They look great all winter!! Redoing some of the grouping where things are selling from!!

Just got in these long skinny red stocking full of greens. Look great on peg rack!!

I love old early mortars!! Can you tell? Just arrived many new dry attic finish mortars!! Some have old iron bands!! The real large one in the other photo sold today!! This is what is left!! Love them!! Trying to fit in all the new prims!!

Well have finally found several attic finish mortars!! They are wonderful!! Nice old dry finish and a great selection!! Lots of Christmas is going out the door as people start to decorate!!

 

We are adding many wonderful primitives to the shop this week! We have been out gathering for several days and will be adding more daily. This is a group of two early treen compotes an early matchholder and the tray they are on was used to dry apples!! The match holder sold this morning!

Fresh Pickins!!

I have been in the shop nonstop for almost two weeks. Have the next two days off for some Me time!! Shop will be open regular hours. The Choir is singing carols to welcome you!!

Mama and baby went north today so moved the big guy in the window!! He looks amazing in there!!

New Window

Started redoing the window today into a lodge theme. Lots of soft northern pines. Have some wonderful old green skis with metal repair and tomorrow I have a most amazing piece to add. You will just have to wait and see. We have live window displays the Friday after Thanksgiving so I am getting ready for that!

Thank you to all the wonderful customers that came to our Holiday Open House!! Several people traveled far and spent the nite! It was an amazing sucess!! I am just showing a few of the things that remain!! Plenty of choices to go to new homes!! Will be reworking the shop this week. We have live window displays the Friday nite after Thanksgiving so I have to get working on that. Lots of new ideas buzzing through my head so it will probably all look different next time you stop!! Lots of new customers stopped in so it was a great weekend!! Keep checking out as we get everything changed around again!!

Prims mortar and bowl sold!!

Was a busy weekend out gatherings prims for next weeks Christmas Open House!! Love how this settle turned out decked for the holidays. Think it is a childs as the seat is quite low. Rosehead nails and grungy finish. Has old leather hinges on the seat. This is perfect of a smaller room. It is a little over four feet wide. Lots of areas to work on today. More handmades coming in this week,. Hope to see you!!

CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE NOV 2,3,4,!!

This guy is my favorite of the new santas that arrived!! He is just so prim in this green dry sink with all the other holiday goods. I am hoping this elf can get all the mounds cleaned up by next week. Heading north tomorrow to pick up a great gray stepback. It is tall and skinny,Will be so much fun to fill up for the holidays!! Picked up some great primitives today also. A huge gray Wisconsin cheese barrel,grungy pantry box,some old repaired skis with green paint. Nice old snowshoes, noggin and much more. Will keep adding daily as Open House gets closer!!

These guys are hanging out waiting for a new home!! They love their red bench but are willing to help someone else celebrate the holidays!!

The elf is working overtime trying to get everything decked out for the Christmas Open House just two weeks away!! New shipment of table squares!! Lots of reds for the holidays!! Stop by and check them out while the selection is good!!

Got this large grungy drawer piece in place yesterday and was in the shop early today to get more things moved, The poor people that came into the mess today did manage to find some things. Just remember I only show the better parts of the shop!! One customer said I was getting things done as she was able to move a little better through areas by the time she left. Several snowmen and santas went to new homes today!!

Got a late start on this table yesterday but added much more later today!! Have to haul in a huge drawer piece to put behind this table tomorrow!!!!a

Put this old store counter in the corner and filled it with yummy greens and pinecones!! Christmas is in the air!!
