While I had the ladder out I got this tub hung in the  stairwell!! Filled it with one of the new scarecrows!! Got out the new oak leaf garland and strung it around to brighten it up. Love this stuff!! below this guy was a bare spot so I brought up this witch bear who is holding a pumpkin head basket!! Looking more like fall every day!!

s Was workin way up high on top of this cupboard!! THis scarecrow looks smaller in this picture but he is quite tall!! Sold the first one right away so two more have just arrived. Large feedsack pumpkins are back this year with gnarly stems!! The tall thing on the left is some farm piece with pumpkins painted on it.. Filled it with  twigs and so perfect for fall. This piece is really too large to ship!! 

Back at the Shop!!Two Cats sold

Back from a busy weekend with lots of new goods for the shop!!This is a small attic finish bucket bench  I hung from a door with hooks! Filled it With lots of new goods! Two kittys on top with witch in middle. Pumpkin guy is sitting by his pumpkin which is sold seperate! Love the dry attic finish wall box next to them!!

Weekend!!

Fresh shipment of gourds just arrived. They are in the large sifter on the table. Orange dippers perfect for the fall season!! Up in the childs wheelbarrow are little handmade calico pumpkins!! The larger ones in front are all one branch. The oak leaf garland trailing across the top is a new arrival also. Have matching wreaths available too. Heading out today to grandaughters ball game. Hoping to get some rain this afternoon in Iowa. We are really dry!!Shop is open today 10-4 and tomorrow 12-4!!

Guy on top Sold!!

This is another view of the new display. You can see the guy up on top better. The witch on right is quite tall much taller than the scarecrow on top!! Will be adding alot next week. I have the next three days off and I am out shopping. Have a great weekend!

Another day on the job!!

Was in the shop at 7 this morning. Sold a table yesterday so had to move one downstairs!! Moved this chicken crate over to this table and opened up another box of fall to fill it. I am almost always moving things around early  morning,then I have to go home and shower, It is just easier to do it in my grubbies. So if I am a little past ten in getting there that is why. It is not that I have not been there for two hours usually every day. The neighbor told a customer that I am not there on time alot but he does not realize while he is still in bed I have moved mountains. I am sorry I have to clean up after that. So please realize that there is much more to running a shop than just sitting behind a desk waiting for customers. I am the housekeeper,mover of mountains,shipping and receiving and in my spare time I am out scouring for new antiques and gifts to fill the shop!! Thanks God I love it!! Amen!! 

Had a lovely visit yesterday with a new customer and she found several treasures to take home. Sold the farm table downstairs so I moved this two board table down there this morning. So this display is all torn apart now and doing something different there. Keeps things more interesting that way!! We got a little rain last nite and temps are cooler today.  Heading out to enjoy it!!Have a good one!!

busy filling bowls and crocks with fall!! This is full of ears of corn,candy corn and smaller pumpkin people! Had a great visit with friends yesterday and got most of the florals unpacked and put out or away.Christmas starts coming in this time of year and you have to take it when you can!! Another hot day in Iowa today!! It has been a hot dry summer!! Off  to go for a walk before it gets too hot!!

Jols in Bowl All Sold!!

oh my so hot in Iowa today!!high 90's Ugh!!So glad for air conditioning! Got orders packed today and ready to ship!! Five boxes of fall florals to mark and put out. Christmas is arriving also but it will not be out for a while!! These two guys were hanging out on this bench and I added the bowl full of jols as the cupboard they were on went to a new home today. Had visitors from Nevada and Pennsylvania this weekend. They are blog followerers and stopped in. Wonderful to meet new people!! Hope everyone is keeping cool!!

Well started off working today to meet some people that were coming to the shop. they did not make it due to car trouble so I spent the day getting out more fall. Tons of fall florals are arriving this week. Will be very busy getting those out and unpacked.Store will be open omorrow but I have the next two days off!! I did !! Lots to look at!!

SHEEP SOLD!!

This sheep fits great in trenchers!! He is lying down and will be good any time of year! Add greens at Christmas.  Busy today in the shop and did not have time for more pictures. Heading to a friends tomorrow to check out some primitives!! Working tomorrow and off the next two days!!

Lovely blue cupboard unloaded this morning. One board sides and door!! Almost took this one .In the window it is so hard to not catch a glare  Put some red geraniums on the top to highlight the spread on the bed.Still getting messes cleanedup but lots of new things every week handpicked  Stop by and check it out!!.

Scarecrow Sold!!

Gorgeous day in Iowa today! No humidity and in the 70s. Now if we could get a little more rain.It would be perfect.I am showing these lamps to a customer and getting in little bits of the shop!!Lots of people in today. Customer picked up her wonderful doughbox and her friend took home the amazing egg box  from Cedar Rapids.The horsemen that were here both sold so I brought up this great scarecrow!! ok people! New computor for old lady!! This is trial and error!! Laptop so no mouse and do not laugh as I comare into the tech world slowly!!This is a nice used computor I am buying from a friend Will take a little getting used to  I am hoping three pictures do not pop up. Have had two days off and it took  most of the morning to get everthing loaded into computor. These are items at home and not for sale right now. Just trying to learn the computor!!

More Stuff!!

Right at the end of the day yesterday I put this log cabin over in this area. The braided rug just came last week. Love the design on it!! Sold one forty eight star flag hanging on this cupboard so I dug out another one we had. This one is huuuuge!! Sure making messes everywhere else. Picked up a nice gray blue bench today and the cutest little bed. Pictures will come when I get them displayed.!!
